Labuk rep denies speculation he's leaving Warisan

Malaysiakini

Sabah's Labuk assemblyperson Abdul Rahman Kongkawang has denied a viral Facebook post claiming that he will be leaving Warisan.
News portal Free Malaysia Today reported Rahman as saying that he's still with the Chief Minister Shafie Apdal-led party.
"It's not true. I'm still with Warisan," he said.
Previously, a Facebook post by one Jalil Sonyoto raised a question of Rahman (above) slating to leave the party.
FMT reported speculations were brewing in the state over several representatives possibly leaving the party after some of them were noticeably absent from a show of support for Shafie.
The opposition in Sabah currently holds 17 seats against 47 held by the ruling parties where it needs more than 33 seats to take over the state.
In Peninsular, Perikatan Nasional (PN) had taken over the state governments in Johor, Malacca, Perak, and Kedah from Pakatan Harapan.
Following the latest change in Kedah, BN secretary-general Annuar Musa had noted that the efforts to increase the number of state governments in the hands of PN would continue.
"This is part of PN's goal of strengthening and stabilising politics. And it will not stop at Kedah.
"There will probably be another one. If there are one or two more states that would follow in the footsteps of Kedah, we strongly welcome them to switch to a PN government," he said. - Mkini
