PM and colleagues to resume duty tomorrow as Covid-19 quarantine ends

Malaysiakini

CORONAVIRUS | Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and the rest of a post-cabinet meeting group will resume duty tomorrow as their 14-day quarantine comes to an end.
As per standard operating procedure, they were tested for a second time at the end of the quarantine period and results came back negative again.
They were previously exposed to an official infected with Covid-19 during a post-cabinet meeting.
Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said swabs were taken from the group yesterday and were found to be negative.
"They will resume work tomorrow," Noor Hisham said at a press conference in Putrajaya today.
The group, including Muhyiddin, had been under quarantine for 14 days after the meeting they were at was also attended by Auditor-General Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid who later tested positive for Covid-19.
Besides the prime minister, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Redzuan Md Yusof was also quarantined.
However, Redzuan said he received special permission from the National Security Council last Friday, to visit former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The Alor Gajah MP said it was a Hari Raya Aidilfitri visit and that he had tried to coax Mahathir to work together with Muhyiddin.
The meeting caused speculation that Redzuan would be leaving Perikatan Nasional, which he has since denied. - Mkini
