Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub has rubbished reports that he and other MPs from the party would be leaving Amanah for Bersatu.
"It seems that the cybertroopers of Perikatan Nasional are feeling pressured by the latest developments and becoming desperate.
"So they have spread the fake news that I and several Amanah leaders will be joining Bersatu in the near future.
"I will take legal action against parties responsible for making such a false report," added the Pulai MP.
Yesterday, news portal SuaraTV reported that Salahuddin along with Hulu Langat MP Hasanuddin Mohd Yunus and Tampin MP Hasan Baharom were poised to leave Amanah for Bersatu.
Salahuddin said such claims would not undermine Pakatan Harapan's efforts and commitment to restore the people's mandate.
"I hope that Malaysians can join Harapan in pursuing the ambitions of forming a new Malaysia that is free of corruption and upholds political correctness and truth, and is not based on slander and falsehood," he added.
On May 30, Salahuddin implied that Harapan might be able to wrest back control of Putrajaya from the PN government before the next Parliament sitting which is expected to start in July. - Mkini
