Lubok Antu's member of Parliament Tambat @ Jugah Muyang has quit PKR to be an independent supporting Perikatan Nasional and Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
When contacted, Jugah (above, third from right) confirmed that he had issued a statement to announce his move effective immediately.
"I pledge to fully support the PN government led by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and the Sarawak state government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) led by Chief Minister Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg for the betterment and development of Lubok Antu constituents.
"With this, I announce my leave from PKR to remain as an independent MP who fully supports the PN government and GPS state government," said Jugah in the statement.
