A PKR member has lodged a report with the MACC after claiming that Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor had abused his power in awarding a project related to the state's tourism sector.
Indrani Selvakumar (above), a member of the Sungai Siput PKR branch, lodged a report at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya this morning, claiming that the project, which is worth RM1 billion, was awarded to a company that has questionable credentials.
"I have evidence to show that the Kedah state government gave a project to a company, where one of the individuals in the company was declared bankrupt.
“The same individual was once indicted by the Securities Commission on allegations of market manipulation," Indrani told Malaysiakini.
"My question is: how can the company be awarded a project worth RM1 billion? I hope the MACC will make a detailed investigation into this case," she added.
Malaysiakini has contacted Sanusi for his comments on this matter
