The situation in eastern Ukraine is getting really bad for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The West is panicking. The British are again leading the charge by suggesting sending their troops to fight directly against Russian troops. Here is Alexander Mercouris with details on the situation. Alexander was in Kuala Lumpur recently. True to his style this video is long, over one hour. But the first five minutes is enough to get an idea of what is happening. I like the quote from German Chancellor Otto Bismarck (died 1898) who said "To attack Russia in any pre-emptive strike is to commit suicide before getting killed".
Over in Lebanon :
- 60 day ceasefire for southern Lebanon. (It should be in place by now).
- Israeli troops will hold their positions at start of 60-day period
- Israel will withdraw when Lebanese military deployed to ensure no vacuums
- in 50 to 60 days, all Israeli troops will be gone
- Hezbollah to move north of Litani River, 18 miles north of Israel’s border.
- Lebanese to ensure all Hezbollah infrastructure removed, cannot be rebuilt
- US and France to monitor deal’s implementation

- US to ensure Lebanese army properly equipped to ensure ceasefire
- opportunity for Lebanese govt to re-establish sovereignty
- US to share intel on Hezbollah after ceasefire, cooperate against Iranian threat

- US’s commitment to prevent Iran from destabilizing Lebanon
- including smuggling of Iranian weapons to Hezbollah
