Raub police chief Shahril Abdul Rahman says the boy was rescued by two other men.

PETALING JAYA: A man drowned while trying to save his son who had fallen into a fish pond at a resort in Sungai Ruan, Raub, yesterday.
Raub police chief Shahril Abdul Rahman identified him as Hafidz Che Din, 46.
He said the incident happened at about 3pm when Hafidz jumped into the pond to save his eight-year-old son, who had fallen in while trying to retrieve a plastic bag used to keep fishing bait.
“The victim’s son was rescued by a worker and an Indonesian there.
“However, the victim did not resurface for about 20 minutes. He was later found near the stairs at the side of the pond.”
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was given, but Hafidz died. - FMT
