Wildlife officials set up four camera traps after photographs were posted on social media on the tiger sighting.

Pahang wildlife director Yusoff Shariff stated that information on the sighting was received at about 9am yesterday. Four officers conducted an investigation and installed camera traps.
He said monitoring in the area will continue to gather further information regarding the presence of the tiger.
Several photographs showing the tiger have been posted on social media, sparking various reactions from the public.
The Malayan tiger (panthera tigris malayensis), which is Malaysia’s national animal, is a subspecies native to Peninsular Malaysia, which has been classified as critically endangered. As of April 2014, the population was estimated at 80–120 mature individuals. - FMT
