KUALA LUMPUR: Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang was absent from the tabling of the 2027 Budget today as he is still unwell.
Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man confirmed this when asked by reporters about the Marang member of parliament's absence.
"He is still unwell," he told reporters after the Budget tabling in the Dewan Rakyat today.
Based on observations, his seat in the front row of the opposition bloc was empty throughout the Budget presentation.
A New Straits Times analysis of the Dewan Rakyat's 78 sitting days last year, based on Parliament's Hansard attendance records, found that Abdul Hadi was among the MPs with the highest number of absences.
He missed 65 sittings, giving him an attendance rate of 16.7 per cent. - NST
