MAKING RACIST REMARKS ITSELF, SHE MUST BE SACKED. MALAYSIANS MUST LEARN TO RESPECT ONE ANOTHER. LET HER BE AN EXAMPLE
Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Muhyiddin Yassin (below) today ordered a taskforce formed to investigate allegations from parents that a secondary school principal in Kulai, Johor had openly made racial slurs against her pupils.
"We want to get the facts right. Now, emotions are still running high so whatever next course of action that we take, we have to be fair," he said.
He added there have been a lot of contradicting statements about what had truly transpired. The headmistress in question was alleged to have told 'Chinese students to go back to China' and likened the Hindu prayer string bracelets worn by Hindu students to a dog leash.
"There is a lot of different information about what she said and what she meant.
"And both sides also made reports," he said, referring to the police reports lodged by students, parents as well as the headmistress herself.
Muhyiddin revealed that the principal had apparently apologised and had since gone on leave.
