Court of Appeal says Umno’s Perak assembly legitimate

The court cannot interfere in matters that transpired in Perak state assembly proceedings and the Umno's resolution over the removal of V. Sivakumar as the state speaker, the Court of Appeal said.

Justice Datuk Abdul Malik Ishak said whatever had taken place on May 7 last year in the Perak state assembly where Sivakumar was removed as the speaker by Umno and was replaced with Datuk R. Ganesan, was legitimate and valid.

Is the Court of Appeal judge trying to say that it cannot interfere in what has been transpired in the Perak state assembly but the police can do so in helping Umno to forcefully remove Sivakumar from office? Is the Court of Appeal trying to translate that what Umno had done that is, holding a separate state assembly session at the corner of the hall chaired by their rebel deputy speaker, while the current speaker at that time was still present, is also also legitimate and valid?

What kind of Court of Appeal is this? When presenting their judgment, did the court really examine and understand the real situation in the state assembly fracas at that time? Did they look into the interference by the police in helping Umno to ousted the speaker?

Did they also took into account that there was another illegal session taking place in the state assembly at that time when Sivakumar was still presiding the sitting? Did the Court of Appeal look into the validity of the deputy speaker Hee Yit Foong who chaired the illegal session when Sivakumar was still present and presiding the state assembly?

Well, the Court of Appeal simply cut short the entire procedure and judgment by legitimizing the Perak Umno rebel state government and the ousting of Sivakumar as speaker. It has been clearly shown that the court has been politically manipulated by Umno in order to legalize the party's rebellion in Perak.

As long as Umno still exist, there shall be no justice and democracy in this nation. Forget about filling another appeal in whatever court you could think of. It is simply wasting of time and energy because you will never obtain justice from it.

Just wait for another general election and the people will make their choice heard again.
