The Forum will be held in Kuala Lumpur from Nov 2-3.

The global Chinese diaspora located in South East Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States, he said, continues to be a powerful economic force.

"We invite you to consider Malaysia as a favourable investment destination. Make Malaysia a regional hub for investments," he said in a message in conjunction with the event.

The Forum is being organised by the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) and is being held in Malaysia for the second consecutive year.

Najib is confident that the Forum will provide healthy intellectual dialogue among government, business and thought leaders and be a meaningful platform for the healthy exchange of ideas as well as the sharing of experiences and best practices.

Malaysia, he said, recognises the contribution of the Malaysian Chinese community to the growth and development of the country.

"My government appreciates the role played by Malaysian Chinese as productive citizens of our country, working hand in hand with the other races to transform the nation," he added.

Najib will also officiate the Forum.

He also highlighted that Malaysia is embarking on programmes to transfrom the country through the New Economic Model (NEM) and the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP).

"The government transformation plan and economic transformation programme will make Malaysia a more exciting and buoyant investment centre," he said.

The forum is expected to bring together 500 participants from over 20 countries to also discuss China's emergence as the world's second largest economy and its relations with Asean.

Among the other topics for discussion at the Forum are Green Tech and Clean Energy, Property and Real Estate Investments, Entreprenuership and Family Business and the ICT industry.
