SHAH ALAM, Jan 15 — Police today confirmed that they took computer equipment from the service centre of Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei in Kota Kemuning here yesterday.
Selangor CID chief SAC Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the equipment was taken for the purpose of investigations in connection with police reports alleging the PKR assemblyman had posted seditious remarks about the Sultan of Selangor in his blog.
“Yes, we went to his service centre around noon yesterday. We took the computer equipment to assist our investigations.
“We expect to wrap up the probe very soon,” he said.
Shuhaimi is alleged to have posted the remarks on December 30 following the appointment Datuk Mohamed Khusrin Munawi as the new Selangor state secretary which had not gone down well with the PKR-led government in Selangor. — Bernama
