Saiful ran to Rosmah after alleged sodomy, says cop

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 11 — Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan had complained to Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor after being allegedly sodomised by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in June 2008, a policeman testified at the High Court here today.

Investigating officer (IO) DSP Jude Pereira said he had recorded a statement from the prime minister’s wife on July 17 2008, but not from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, after the alleged sodomy on June 26 2008.

“You took a statement from Datin Rosmah?” asked Anwar’s defence lawyer, Karpal Singh, at the High Court here today.

“Yes, on July 17, 2008,” answered Jude.
