People keep saying that MCLM is trying to trigger three-corner fights. We say we are trying to bring all ten non-Barisan Nasional parties to the conference table to avoid just that; three corner fights.

PKR expects to see more trouble brewing
(Borneo Post) - Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) expects more hiccups in the run-up to the coming state election.
PKR Sibu chairman Simon Tiong said they anticipated there would be some members leaving the party on the ground of losing confidence in the party leadership.
On the possibility of him contesting in the coming state election, he declined to comment except to say it was up to the top party leadership to decide.
“This has happened and we expect there will be hiccups along the way to the state election. When that happens, we will not be dismayed but congratulate them for showing their true colour,” he told reporters yesterday.
He, however, said all was not lost as there would be those joining the party with good intentions.
Tiong was commenting on a news report that PKR Sarawak would end up with no members left before the election should the exodus of members continue.
PBB Youth vice-chief Pandi Suhaili was reported as saying that it was not a surprise that PKR’s Youth vice-chairman Granda Aing had turned his back on the party to join SNAP.
To this, Tiong countered: “We have seen that; people come and go. And we are expecting that but Pakatan Rakyat (PR)’s spirit is that we can move forward for a better tomorrow.”
For that reason, they needed to thoroughly screen their candidates for the coming election, he said.
He admitted that it was never easy to put forth the best possible candidates as there were various criteria not easy to evaluate but “we are ready to put in all the resources we have”.
The Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM) held a round table conference yesterday, the same day the Sarawak State Assembly was dissolved and the Chua Soi Lek type video of Anwar Ibrahim exploded onto the scene.
MCLM invited the ten non-Barisan Nasional parties to attend the round table. The 14 Barisan Nasional coalition partners were of course not invited.
Eight parties came. Two, PKR and PAS, did not. Apparently these two parties boycotted the round table or thought they were too good for the likes of DAP, SNAP, SAPP, HRP, KITA, PRM, PSM, UBF, etc.
Now PKR says we should expect trouble in Sarawak. Well, I suppose we should also expect trouble in Sabah and the 11 other states of West Malaysia if this is their attitude.
Why lah PKR sombong sangat? And does PAS also think they have enough support they don’t need to work with others? Or do they wish to accept Umno’s invitation to form a ‘Malay Unity’ grouping? Is that why they snubbed the other eight parties that are too rendah (low down) for them?
People keep saying that MCLM is trying to trigger three-corner fights. We say we are trying to bring all ten non-Barisan Nasional parties to the conference table to avoid just that; three corner fights.
I suppose yesterday showed who are those really itching for three-corner fights. And it is not MCLM.
