SPILLED….. Garbage and rubbish spilled over in Tamparuli town.

THE PEOPLE in Tamparuli filed their angry complaints to the Sabah DAP Kiulu branch on the serious and acute problems arising from the over spilling garbage and rubbish which were not being cleared for almost two weeks now in the Tamparuli town.
The pile of garbage and rubbish had created very bad smell especially those nearer to the shops and eateries here. The Tuaran District council had not been coming here to clear the over spilling containers of rubbish and smelly garbage.
Sabah DAP Kiulu Branch Chairman, Edmund Wong who has inspected the complaints and found the situation is really bad and it is true that the foul smell is unbearable. The rubbish is dumped on the ground and spread all over the ground. Many stray dogs are digging into and turning the garbage over.
He found out that there is no garbage trucks working and he wants to know what actually happened here in Tamparuli. He said that if the Tuaran Council cannot coupe with the existing old and broken down garbage trucks on the garbage collection, they should immediately find ways to even rent trucks to take the garbage away. There is plenty of trucks available, why just leave the garbage to rot, or there are just no workers too?
The Ministry of Local government and Housing must immediately come in to clear the rubbish and garbage, especially the Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor himself should come himself to clean this up. This is his area in Tuaran and he is the minister in charge of garbage and rubbish.
In this case, he had totally failed his job and should be held liable and responsible. Therefore, why should the people in Tuaran, Kiulu, and Tamparuli elect him as the assemblyman again? By right, we should sack him from the cabinet because he did not perform.
Edmund said this type of slack and inefficient work performance of the elected representatives should not be allowed anymore. The people are suffering, and we want good, clean, straight, and hard working representatives. Those who do not perform should resign.
