THAT ‘SCARED COW’ JUST CANNOT BE SLAUGHTERED

It's much more than a family & co. We have a super-genius family, whereby its son of 31 years old is an executive director, its son of 27 years old a CEO and daughter of 25 years old a director. And the super-genius family istherefore handsomely rewarded with RM215,000 a month! (That must be one of the best success stories of Madey's New Economy Policy!)

It made me raged after reading what prime minister Najib did in the infamous Cowgate, he who had been silent on the scandal for so long could only come up with freezing the assets of NFC, the GLC in the centre of the scandal.

(And that anger is what keeps me up late at night to blog again after a hiatus of more about three months.)

And that ‘scared cow’ is CORRUPTION, and UMNO-BN simply think that ‘cow’ cannot be slaughtered at all.

Don’t look far or deep in the scandal. Just look at the following simple, hard facts:
  • UMNO Wanita head and cabinet minister: Shahrizat Abdul Jalil
  • NFC’s chairman: Dr. Mohamad Salleh Ismail (her husband)
  • NFC’s executive director : Wan Shahinur Izmir (her son, age 31)
  • NFC’s CEO: Wan Shahinur Izran (her other son, age 27)
  • NFC’s director is Wan Izzana Fatimah (her daughter, age 25)
and their salaries:
  • Chairman: RM100,000/month
  • executive director: RM45,000/month
  • CEO: RM35,000/month
  • director: RM35,000/month
  • TOTAL for Shahrizat family: RM215,000/month!
I only know that in the place where I work, which is a Singapore university partially funded by Singapore government, every year we must make declaration if any of our family members work in the same organisation. If we do, special attention will be given to ensure all things are proper. Situations like the Shahrizat & Co. above is definitely avoided and unacceptable by any standard.

But wait a minute. It’s much more than a family & co. We have a super-genius family, whereby its son of 31 years old is an executive director, its son of 27 years old a CEO and daughter of 25 years old a director. And the super-genius family is therefore handsomely rewarded with RM215,000 a month! (That must be one of the best success stories of Madey’s New Economy Policy!)

Only idiots need to look at other details like whether or not the condos purchased here and there by NFC is a wise investment or not. If you still believe Shahrizat the cabinet minister is innocent, you must be from Mars.

OK, perhaps Najib is from Mars. Most likely not. This blatant corruption simply cannot be slaughtered. Shahrizat was given the project when Muhyiddin Yassin was the agriculture minister. And Muhyiddin is now the deputy prime minister. We may naively think that Najib can very well use this ‘cow’ to slaughter Muhyiddin. But doing so will be a ‘massacre’ that sink the UMNO-BN ship. If Najib is to just slaughter Shahrizat, it may make Muhyiddin (and other UMNO warlords) more determined to slaughter Najib.

The safest bet for Najib, in his mind, is to do something that can be twisted to the public as something is being slaughtered, without actually slaughtering the sacred cow. Hence his announcement to freeze the assets of NFC and… here is the best part… to let Muhyiddin and current agriculture minister Nor Omah to decide what to do with NFC. Nor Omah needs to be involved because NFC is in his current portfolio. But why Muhyiddin? Because he’s the one who decided and knew all the details of the corrupt NFC setup. We can safely assume both men will meet to wash the ‘sacred cow’ rather than slaughter it.

If you ever believe in the sincerity of Najib to transform (note how he avoided ‘reform’ and use ‘transform’), this failure to slaughter the ‘sacred cow’ should shatter all your belief. If you still insist on your belief, just think of a super-genius family called Shahrizat & co. taking home RM215,000 a month from our public funds. And that’s before we examine what else they have squandered.
