Soi Lek and son's adolescent politics fail to win back Chinese voters

Soi Lek and son's adolescent politics fail to win back Chinese voters
The general elections must be nearby or something. The spate of criticisms by the MCA has seen an obvious increment. But it is beyond ridicule what the MCA politicians have shown themselves capable of.
'Puppy' Tee Yong and 'wayang kulit' MCA
The latest volley from MCA that Selangor has seen a jump in vice, prostitute dens and massage parlours under the Pakatan Rakyat state government is just too laughable to digest. Really, rolling onto the floor with laughter at the lame criticisms put up a seeminly bankrupt-of-ideas MCA is just too mild a phrase to describe my reaction.
The latest incident in Pandamaran where 40 residents did a “wayang kulit” with a street protest all dressed in PR t-shirts against the Selangor State Government really takes the cake. Adorned with the initials PR- which stood for Penipu Rakyat is just so comical that the rakyat (citizens) can't help grinning from ear to ear watching the sorry sight. Just a day before degrading posters of Lim Guan Eng, national laureate A Samad and Ambiga Sreenevasan were pasted in the same neighborhood where Hassan Ali held a meeting. Coincidence, karma or malice? You decide - I already know!
And to top it all, MCA Young Professionals Bureau chairman Chua Tee Yong dares to open his still adolescent mouth to call upon the DAP to sever ties with PAS for intending to implement Hudud laws and forming an Islamic State.
MCA has been asking DAP umpteenth times to sever ties with PAS, even though it has no intention of severing ties with UMNO for implementing Islamic Syariah Laws and affirming that Malaysia is already an Islamic State.
And despite the white 'ang-pows' blowout, MCA is still consorting with Perkasa. Even when rejected and snubbed directly to his face, MCA president Soi Lek has still not learned his lesson. He never seems to, but when will MCA ever learn? Non-Malays are shunning Perkasa like the plague, and yet MCA sees it fit to allow its members to consort with them.
Even DAP has banned its members from attending Perkasa events and rightly so. Why support a movement that support the humiliation and downgrading of the non-Malays to 2nd and 3rd class citizens?
Still giving the thumbs up to race-based politics
It is also sad to note that till now not one MCA politician has come out with any intelligent statement on the current sad state of affairs. Racism is at its peak, with every BN party championing racist policies. Every BN party is still acknowledging that former premier Mahathir Mohamad is right, and that race-based policies are still relevant in this country until the end of the world.
Why is this so? Let me tell you. It is because Soi Lek, MCA, Gerakan and all the other BN components know they now depend on Umno to bring in the votes and hence, they must be just as racist as Umno or the Umno supporters won't vote for them! Only the Malay right wing would now vote for MCA and this is to support the Perkasa and Mahathir factions, not MCA at all.
So this is why MCA leaders have to be quick to deflect attention. They point their fingers at the Opposition every single time, and lay the entire blame on the Pakatan for all their own shortcomings and cowardice. BN components like MCA, Gerakan and MIC are really devoid of ideas. You can’t reason with them anymore or at all.
Until today, spectators and Bersih participants who were trapped in the Tung Shin hospital are still shocked at how MCA tried to cover up the Tung Shin hospital incident by denying that the incident took place. The amount of protests and daily street demonstrations, and the escalating incidents of pig heads in suraus and mosques in Selangor go to show how desperate BN has become in their quest to wrest back the state government from PKR Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim.
Fed up by the stupid shenanigans
Selangorians are not amused and they are too smart to be taken in by all these half-baked 'incidents'. Short of a miracle or gross electoral abuse, Selangor will remain in the hands of the Pakatan Rakyat. MCA knows this for a fact, but they can’t give up trying. Not with UMNO constantly breathing down their backs.
Totally rebuffed by the Chinese, they have resorted to scare tactics like the Hudud Laws which only serve to anger the Muslims, while UMNO will not admit that fact.
Another scare tactic was the declaration that MCA will not vie for any government posts, should their candidates fail to retain any seats in the 13th general election. This seemingly innocent statement only proves that MCA has openly surrendered to the inevitable, and is dependent now on Chinese sympathy to ward off a total wipe-out.
Clutching at straws, MCA is making a last ditch effort to convince the Chinese that they are still relevant, even though MCA leaders have come to accept the fact that they certainly are not!
Soi Lek and son must take the blame
But what is most depressing are the shallow statements by MCA leaders that without the MCA, Chinese interests in this country would erode to the point of no return.
Meanwhile, MCA President Chua Soi Lek is still trying his best to sound credible and important with his frivolous statements that often make no sense. MCA strategists seem practically devoid of issues or idea. At the rate they are going, 95percent of Chinese in Selangor will vote them out of existence.
MCA could have been more professional and focus on real issues involving the country and the Chinese, but no, everything they say must have a political twist to it, and the Pakatan Rakyat must always be made the scapegoat.
Continuously, Soi Lek chides the Chinese for supporting PR, not realising the amount of contempt they community holds for him and his son Tee Yong.
Foreigners in their own country
Just like UMNO, which ignored the plight of the Malays for the last half century, MCA still thinks that the Chinese are stupid enough to believe that MCA are fighting for their Rights. Most of the Chinese Rights have eroded so badly since Independence that the Chinese themselves feel like foreigners in this country.
Indians too are feeling the heat, but MIC still believe that they can get away with it, and that the Indians will continue to buy their story. What fools they take us for?
Meanwhile, Dr Mahathir still rambles on to those who will listen, that race-based politics are here to stay, and warning that the elections should be postponed until Chinese support has returned to Barisan. No wonder MCA is under tremendous pressure!
While the Malays, like Dr M, are forgetful - the Chinese are not. They will not forget that MCA has auctioned off their rights a long, long time ago.  Still, pretending not to see or hear, MCA leaders, like in a Chinese Opera, are still trying to put on an innocent face, despite hiding behind tonnes of makeup, and trying desperately to win over a thoroughly disgusted Chinese community.
Much worse than a year ago
One year ago, political pundits could have safely predicted that MCA may lose some more seats but retain at least 10 parliamentary seats, but today the scenario has changed. If the election is put off any longer, MCA may lose more of their seats and retain at the most 5 of its existing 15 parliamentary seats.
But this deterioration has nothing to do with Pakatan Rakyat. The MCA on its own is a gross disappointment to the Chinese, and the respect it once had has dwindled beyond redemption.
UMNO too, is in the same boat. The Malays are ready to boot them out and BN would have been history if it had not been for Sabah and Sarawak, and the non-Malays who still harbored a grudge against the Opposition.
Yes, MCA and MIC has gone on overdrive, on command of the DPM to make a last ditch effort to win back the Non Malays. Apparently, the scare tactics by Perkasa and other radical NGO’s have backfired against the BN government. Realising too late their folly to scare the non-Malays back to BN is not going to work, they have returned to the drawing board.
Back to the drawing board
Now, Perkasa has to work overtime to win back the Chinese, starting with the senior citizens. If not because of the white 'ang-pow' incident, Perkasa would have succeeded in convincing 300 Chinese citizens to back the MCA.
Sad to say, a scapegoat in MCA division leader Collin Tiew had to be found, and he was forced to resign from all party posts while the 300 senior citizens are still cursing away at the MCA for those white pows. How comical is that?
It goes to show that the current batch of half baked politicians attached to the federal government need to be given the boot, and fast!
But whatever the outcome of GE-13 MCA must get used to the fact that they are history, and they should refrain from making complete fools of themselves in public by issuing ridiculous statements that only serve to embarrass their fellow Chinese. Don't destroy what ever credibility that's left in the MCA. Take a break. Retreat with grace and dignity.
MCA’s time is up, and they should put on a brave face, and disperse quietly like gentlemen. Live to fight another day.
