Umno battles to hold on to their turf

VOXPOP 'Urban Ahmad works alongside Ah Chong, Muthu and others and he can see how they, irrespective of race, have to struggle to put a roof over their heads.'

'Felda settlers fight fear to back Pakatan'

vox populi small thumbnailSwipenter: Umno has now resorted to steal from the Felda settlers because Felda is the last jewel in the crown to be exploited to feed their insatiable greed.

Slowly but surely the working class and underprivileged Malays are beginning to realise how Umno exploit their ignorance to enrich themselves by blaming others for their plight and dilemma.

The urban Malays already know this. Urban Ahmad works alongside Ah Chong, Muthu and others and he can see how they, irrespective of race, have to struggle to put a roof over their heads, put food on the table for their families, pay car installments, tolls, etc.

But they see how the corrupt Umnoputras/BNputras and their cronies live lavish and hedonistic lifestyles which they can only dream. And yet they have the audacity to tell them to tighten their belts to save the country from bankruptcy.

Where is the social justice that Umno-BN preaches about so frequently?

You Like to Play Play: Predictions are just what they are - predictions. The majority normally keeps silent, but the minority likes to make so much noise that they believe the sounds they hear are of others.

Anak is no voice of the settlers, they say they are, that is the difference.

They cannot offer these settlers anything, yet they try to deprive them of unlocking value through the Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd listing and benefitting from it. How can they say they know the settlers?

ONG: Votes cast by the 112,635 settlers can affect four state governments. The 112,224 registered voters in the parliamentary seat of Kapar were entitled to only one MP in the 2008 GE. Simply amazing.

Full of Crap: In Japan and many other countries, should the number of voters in an area double or is more than a set figure, they will be split into more contitutencies.

Malaysia is full of discrimination especially against urban voters. One rural vote is equivalent to 20 or more urban votes.

Fair and Open: When the vultures start moving in on its own supporters, the end is nigh. This hopefully is a significant episode in the final downfall of the corrupted Umno regime.

Klang mob attacks an 'organised scare tactic'?

Kairos: I hope that the police will take these violent attacks seriously. I hope that the authorities will do their utmost to nab the thugs and nip it in the bud before somebody really gets hurt or even a fatality occurs.

These violent interruptions are totally unwarranted and if not checked, can lead to racial disturbances due to the over-zealous few.

Malaysia is a matured country and we do not need to resort to the law of the jungle to make our point.

I implore the police to do something about this quickly and also the people hiring these gangsters to put a stop to such violent acts for the sake of peace in this country.

Artchan: If these scare tactics are not stopped immediately by the police, will they be responsible for the consequences should any death occur?

Up to now, the pro-opposition groups have shown tremendous restraint in calling things off when the police don't seem to want to do anything. But what if the organisers fight back?

PB Win: What happened to the fat man in video during the first mob attack? Did the police arrest him and charge all those involved? Why no news about the case from the police?

This second mob attack would not have happened if the police took action against those involved in the earlier attack.

Why the long delay despite clear evidence given to the police? Are they waiting for instruction from Umno or are they waiting for a few more attacks to take place before taking action?

Alfanso: This is just the beginning. If you allow it, more danger awaits. There is the ruling group and there is the opposition group.

If the police do not do anything, it is likely the ruling party must have an hand in this. The police do not act until higher-ups initiate the orders.

The higher the orders comes from, the swifter the action. We know this from the past.

BTN: All of us are suspicious of these organised thugs. They are against Anything But Umno and simple logic will tell you they are most likely sponsored by the ruling party.

PM Najib Razak and all his lackeys in MCA, MIC and Gerakan are acting like heroes with their cash handouts to the rakyat.

The joke is that it's actually our money and they are just giving crumbs to the rakyat.
BornInM'sia: We can't allow a political party that embraces mobs or organised criminals to tear our society apart.

We have to use GE13 to stop all these nonsense. Vote for change and establish a two-party system. - Malaysiakini
