PETALING JAYA: The police has cleared Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz's son of any wrongdoing in a minor scuffle involving his bodyguard and a security guard.
Brickfields district police chief ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said Saturday that Nazri's son Mohamad Nedim was not involved in the minor scuffle.
“There was a small fight between the bodyguard and the security guard.
“We have already forwarded the investigation papers to the DPP (deputy public prosecutor),'' he said.
He said the case was investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray.
“This is a minor case. We have already completed investigation.
“I do not know why and how another person (Mohamad Nedim) was dragged into this.
“It is a clear cut case involving a bodyguard and a security guard,'' said Wan Abdul Bari.
He said this when asked to comment on reports on online portals implying that the son of Minister in the Prime Minister's Department was involved in a scuffle.
The scuffle allegedly broke out at a plush condominium at Mont Kiara on Tuesday night. - Star
