DPM's motto: Do as I say, not as I do
YOURSAY 'If you are not prepared to show your bank account, please do not ask others to do so and in the process make a fool of yourself.'
Muhyiddin: I won't show Anwar my accounts
Democrat 53: DPM Muhyiddin Yassin, you were often talked about as the richest MB from one of the richest states in Malaysia. You practically sold Johor and Johor Bahru. The last straw for former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad was probably the construction on the Johor Straits which became an eyesore.
Remember your friend from Singapore who headed the project? I know memories are short and selective just like your current godfather, the man who once did not trust you at all.
We Johorians know very well all your ties with the various powers-that-be in the business circles. The past few years at the Education Ministry has been good too after your short but lucrative spell at Miti (Ministry of International Trade and Industry).
So if your are worth your salt, be man enough to show your bank accounts and those held by your cronies.
Anonymous_3ff5: The DPM started it all by telling DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) to explain the alleged 20 accounts to which ACA/MACC investigation already cleared and the case closed.
Muhyiddin should accept DSAI's challenge if he has nothing to hide. But instead he blamed the reporter for asking him to comment on the issue.
It irresponsible of him as DPM to blame the reporter when he can respond with a "no comment" - just as what he did when asked about the Scorpene case.
Multi Racial: I think it is a fair challenge from Anwar. Since you open your mouth to comment on him and he has the right to challenge you to publicly declare all your bank accounts.
Personally, I do not think Anwar would want to show his bank accounts to everyone. In spite of that, he dare challenge you because he knew you would not dare to take up his challenge. Maybe he thinks you have more to hide.
Mushiro: At least for the sake of getting Anwar to show all his accounts, Muhyiddin should have shown his accounts.
And if Muhyiddin really did not have this kind of money, then it is all the more reason Muhyiddin should have proven this.
Many Malaysians believe that Najib Razak, Rosmah Mansor, Muhyiddin and many ministers and Umno leaders have big fat accounts. Leaders should declare and show their accounts to prove they are clean.
Headhunter: Not just his bank accounts, but we also want to see Muhyiddin's assets here in Malaysia and overseas as well.
Anwar already said he's game to open his accounts which to us is that he has nothing to hide. Come on DPM, we're all waiting.
Anonymous #59599842: "Which ministers doesn't have problems?" asked Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
No wonder, she was angry when we asked her to step down from her minister's post.
Disbeliever: Ministers who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Muhyiddin, as DPM, you should not be running down the opposition and acting like a small boy deprived of his lollipop.
Instead you should lay out what you, the PM and Umno-BN are going to do to revive the economy, to reduce national debts and to deal with other relevant issues that affect Malaysians from all walks of life.
So Mr DPM, stop all this nonsense and let us know what is in store for us. Stop intimidating us, stop sowing seeds of fear and hatred, stop saying that if we don't vote Umno-BN, then we are not patriotic and that we are "destroying" this country.
We have given you 55 years to show us something tangible. Yes, Umno-BN has brought us progress but at the expense of rampant corruption and cronyism.
If you are reluctant to take up Anwar's challenge, then we the rakyat challenge you to declare that you do not have millions, or perhaps billions, stack up somewhere.
Tpn: If you are not prepared to show your bank account, please do not ask others to do so and in the process make a fool of yourself.
ABBN: Dear DPM, even though Anwar did not counter challenge you, don't you think that it is a golden opportunity for you to voluntarily step forward to lead by example by showing us your accounts that you are clean and that you are not corrupted and dirty like everybody saying so?
This will definitely clear your tarnished image and give you a very convincing reason that the people should retain you and to consider you as the next PM should Najib dare not follow suit.
Unless you are dishonest and not what you claimed to be corrupt free, then please shut up and stop pointing fingers and prepare to run or migrate after the next general election.
