EXPOSE.....Woman’s police report exposes multi-level marketing scheme selling smut through USB flash drives.

SIBU: Multi-level marketing hit a new level here with the latest scheme selling real time pornography through USB flash drives. The shocking revelation was exposed after the police received a report from a woman on Tuesday that her house had been used as a base to market pornography by a couple said to be her relatives.

The woman reported that her relatives had brought in illegal USB flash drives from Taiwan which enabled real-time streaming of pornography for clients and used her house as a venue for presentation and demonstration of the products.

Sources said the police had detained a 51-year-old man from Taiwan who is alleged to be one of the leaders of the multi-level marketing business.

It was reported that the police had not been able to stream the pornography as the link to the website had been closed down.

It was further reported that the Taiwanese had been released.

Sources said that a client had to pay an upfront fee of RM2,100 to be a “member” of the business. The members would then be given three units of USB flash drives.

For every introduction of a new member, the member would be paid RM500, while the upline would get RM200.

According to the woman who lodged the report, a total of 99 units had been brought in and 25 units had been sold.

The team also organises business presentation tours to Bintulu and Peninsular Malaysia, the house owner said.
