Shahrizat vs PKR duo: Court sees 'defamatory' video clips
The hearing of the defamation suit filed by former minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil continued with the High Court in Kuala Lumpur viewing video clips of allegedly libel statements made at a press conference at the Parliament lobby on Nov 30, 2011.
Four clips of the allegedly defamatory statements uttered by PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli and Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin were screened before Judicial Commissioner Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera.
However, the video clips and the transcripts were not marked as court exhibits as the maker of the video footage is yet to be called to take the stand.
Rafizi and Zuraida are facing a RM100 million law suit for defamation filed by Shahrizat, who is Umno Wanita chief.
The two of them have filed a counter-claim.
Shahrizat is to be cross-examined soon by Rafizi and Zuraida's counsel before a packed courtroom filled with Umno Wanita and PKR supporters.
