KUALA LUMPUR, AUG 20 ― Traffic along the North-South Highway (NSE) is reported to have increased, although moving smoothly, with the exception of some northbound points.
A spokesman for the Plus Expressways Bhd Traffic Control Centre said there was congestion before the Slim River intersection to Sungkai and at the Changkat Jering and Taiping toll plazas. “Traffic is slow after the Menora Tunnel, heading toward Kuala Kangsar, following rain in the area,” he added.
He said traffic is also reportedly slow moving from Sg Perak to Kuala Kangsar.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) said on Twitter that traffic flow was still heavy after the Gombak toll plaza, heading towards the east coast.
Road users can obtain the latest updates on the North-South Highway by calling the toll free Plusline 1800-88-0000 and on Twitter at twitter.com/plustrafik. ― Bernama
