BN ALMOST POPULAR WITH TAUFU PROJECT?

Dear Editor,

THE PHOTOS with this email again shows BN projects are real taufu projects wasting our tax money. The signboard itself is a telltale sign that something is not right. It only states that it is a federal project and appears to be under the supervision of Majlis Daerah Penampang.

The normal practice of project signboard would show the title of the project, the contractor's name, the consultant's name if relevant, the project owner, date of commencement and expected date of completion.
In this case, none is given which would imply that this is a direct award to some cronies. The unwillingness to display the contract period would prevent the public from knowing if the project is delayed or simply too slow.

The quality of the works can only be described as shoddy and I have even talked to the workers who are mostly foreigners, definitely Pilaks from their slang and looks.

The hole underneath the footpath which is supposed to drain the rainwater from the road surface to the nearby stormdrain are too small and are easily blocked by rubbish which explains why all our roads gets flooded after just a few minutes of heavy rain. Worst still the cheap white plastic pipe cannot even be extended to the storm drain and the workers told me that they will just dig an open drain through the once green road shoulders.

You can see from the third pic that the dug up green is so ugly and this BN project cannot even beautify the town. This is another of the hundreds of proofs how this useless government is wasting our money just for the benefits of cronies who without doubt are the rich and fat datuks who are larger in numbers than the ordinary man on the streets.

What is amazing is that a simple town beautification project is also a "federal" projects as if the state and the Penampang council has no money, they have to beg for federal funding? or was the federal minister have to look for easy projects to implement just to reward their cronies, while lots of rural people are still waiting for the development promises which are supposed to be seen after 100 days in power?

I did not bother to get clarification from the Majlis Daerah because in the past I tried and they could not be bothered to answer, even letters I sent to them remain unanswered indefinitely.

Best Regards,

JOHN BABAGON
