PUTRAJAYA, -- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has described the opportunity to interact "live " with the public using the various latest communications technology as enjoyable.
"This is because I am able to promote the use of a new technology called social media. We've been able to use a medium which we had not used before this," said the prime minister to a question on the satisfaction he derived as a leader who got to interact with the people through direct live telecast.
This last question came from moderator Suhaimi Sulaiman of the programme, #Ask Najib: 2013 Budget, from Seri Perdana, here, Wednesday night.
The one-hour programme was broadcast live through YouTube and Astro Awani channel.
Najib was happy that people in Malaysia and abroad were able to follow the discussion through social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
"If we had used the conventional method like we used to, we might not be able to understand direct public participation in such a discussion," he said.
Najib hoped to continue using social media to interact with the 'rakyat' in future.
