SEDCO SHOP LOTS IN LONG PASIA?

TWO pertinent issues boggling the mind of the people of Long Pasia, which no one seems to be giving clearer picture until today said Lalung Dawar and Johnny Ampiuk, first, how did SEDCO (Sabah Economic Development) go about acquiring the land to build a block of three door shop lots, which is now near completion.

According to Lalung and Johnny, Kampong Long Pasia is about eleven acres in size as kampong reserved. If the status is still kampong reserved how then the kampong people not involved in any discussion to allow building shop houses?

Another is about the appointment of community leaders by the authority, which should have been based on who the people think can be trusted, could not be simply picked at fancy by certain group in power. The most important thing is the ability to perform the functions as community leaders.

Today according to the duos everyone is left in the dark not knowing what the leaders are doing, kampong people are not informed what authority’s plan for the kampong thus how can the kampong people support the government’s project they said.

They are so many other issues brought up during the two days visit of Deputy President of Sabah Progressive Party-SAPP Tuan Hj Amde Sidik, which he said very valuable lesson to know what people of Maligan, Iburu, Long Mio and Long Pasia kept in the chest for so long.

This was the second lapse of working visit by the party leaders of SAPP Constituency Liaison Committee of N28 Sindumin.
