Guan Eng seeks to spoil BN's CNY bash, says DPM
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has accused the Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng of seeking to disrupt Penang BN's Chinese new year open house event by urging participants to wear red, yellow and green.
Muhyiddin (left) said that the event, slated for Feb 11 and will feature South Korean pop superstar Psy, was supposed to be a happy celebration to promote unity.
"But it seems like Lim Guan Eng wants to play politics only," said Muhyiddin at a press conference in Penang today. "He should respect our programme, and don't create trouble."
"I am sure the BN won't be disturbing their events. He thinks he is smart but he's actually not."
Lim had urged Penangites to attend Psy's concert by wearing colours for causes which Pakatan Rakyat supports.
He said that red symbolised change, while yellow symbolised the Bersih 2.0 movement and green symbolised the growing environmental protection movement.
