Supporters urged to 'balik kampung' in Ubahmobiles
DAP supporters who can't afford a new car for Chinese New Year can give their car a brand new look while promoting the party at the same time.
Supporters are urged todownload the party's car sticker templates to turn their vehicles into ‘Ubahmobiles’ before they drive home for holidays next week.
The car sticker campaign is based on the party's Ubah mascot, a cute hornbill which the party has been using since 2011.
DAP publicity chief Tony Pua said that the holiday season was a perfect opportunity for supporters to bring the party's message to their home towns in the rural areas.
Spread Ubah message
Other than car stickers, he said supporters can also download campaign materials such as leaflets and video clips as tools which can help supporters "convert" the rural folk.
"So when you are visiting your friends and family during Chinese new year and the conversation runs dry, you can talk about 'Ubah'," said Pua.
Pua said that the rural vote for DAP and Pakatan Rakyat was important and the coalition is banking on supporters to help out with disseminating party material.
He said that those interested in installing the car stickers should expect to pay about RM300 for the job.
