Selangor BN Youth seeks race circuit from Najib
Selangor BN Youth have requested BN chairman Najib Abdul Razak to construct a drag race circuit in Selangor should BN wrest back the state.
Selangor BN Youth chief Engku Salleh Abd Jamal said a drag race circuit is one of the main requests made by movement to the caretaker prime minister during the latter's gathering with youths from the state in Shah Alam today.
"Youths today, they love motorbikes. They need a drag race circuit, between 800m to 1km, because they modify the motorbikes themselves," Engku Salleh said after the event.
He said having such a circuit would even help curb social ills such as illegal racing among the youths.
Engku Salleh said he had also requested for a sports complex for the youth be constructed so that they could play badminton and futsal at affordable prices, and Najib (left) had said he would consider these proposals.
He stressed that any promises BN made in its manifesto are "promises", but the same cannot be said of Pakatan Rakyat.
"Our promises, we take a long time to study things. We don't simply promise," he said in reference to Pakatan's accusations that the BN manifesto took a leaf from the Pakatan manifesto issued two months ago.
"Najib can't reduce car prices immediately after becoming PM. It's been four years now. We will do it stage by stage," Engku Salleh added.
