PUTRAJAYA - PAS vice president Datuk Husam Musa has dismissed the need to investigate an alleged sex video of another prominent party leader.
Husam said even the party's disciplinary committee has no plans to look into the alleged video, which made its rounds among several pro-Umno bloggers since late yesterday.
The video depicts an individual having sex with an unidentified woman in what appeared to be a hotel room and then later getting dressed.
"Why does PAS need to investigate? The government needs to investigate it as it will only give a negative impact on the people who are behind the video and the enforcement parties that don't take action against it.
"People are fed up with politics that includes slander, insults and sex. We need to move beyond this to civilised politics," said Husam at a press conference today.
Husam also questioned the timing of the video, which emerged about a week before nomination, adding that the motive is political.
"Things like this can be made up," he added.
It was reported that Pro-Umno blogger Papagomo has alleged that the woman was paid by PKR. Insinuating that there is infighting within the opposition pact.
The video has since been removed from Youtube.
