Two unpaid AES summonses against 'Rosmah Mansor'

One Rosmah Mansor, a registered voter in Pekan, Pahang, has been found to have two unpaid summonses under the disputed Automatic Enforcement System (AES).

NONEShe is also the registered owner of a vehicle with the number-plate XIASEAN360.

PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli(left), who revealed the details today after checking the MyEG website, said he believes that the car owner is the wife of BN head Najib Abdul Razak.

Malaysiakini has verified Rafizi’s claim against details on the website.

"This smacks of double standards. If (Najib) is so sure of the benefits of the AES, then he should at least ensure that the people closest to him, especially his wife, adhere to it," Rafizi said.

"In mature democracies, although it is alien in Malaysia, the public will apply a test to see if those closest to those in power also adhere to policies they promote. This is the same test we should apply in Malaysia."
Last December, the Attorney-General's Chambers had suspended prosecution of those who do not pay the AES fines.
This is until "legal issues and other technicalities" are addressed.
