Hare Krishnan was never on the run, says wife

Inspector S Hare Krishnan, the fourth suspect in custodial death victim N Dhamendran’s case, was never on the run, his wife said today.

Shaarmini Balakrishnan (left) toldMalaysiakini that Hare Krishnan did not turn up for work after his leave expired on June 15 because he was told that he was suspended from duty.

She said that as such, Hare Krishnan, had engaged a lawyer who sent numerous letters to the police, which were all not replied.

“They were all not replied to. He was never on the run. The lawyer was available to contact,” she said.

Hare Krishnan’s lawyer is Sri Kumar Ganapati and Co.

Meanwhile, Shaarmini also revealed that Hare Krishnan has made a Statutory Declaration (SD) claiming his innocence in Dhamendran’s case.
