Nik Abduh right on cue, floods are God’s wrath

YOURSAY ‘PAS, you can't even manage Kedah, let alone Kelantan.’

'Flood a sign PAS must keep pushing for hudud'

Ferdtan: Pasir Mas MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz has never attended any science lesson in his life so what does he know about why Kelantan is being hit by the worse-ever flood.

Nik, have you ever thought that almighty is giving you a clear message to first take care of your home - the world you live in - and that it’s not about hudud, before you start to think about going to heaven?

Martha: Nik Abduh, don't start with your nonsense about the hudud thing being the reason for the flood. Could it be the other way round? That you trying to play God.

You can't even manage Kedah, let alone Kelantan. Now you are trying to convince the people to agree to hudud. One thing you people are good at is to brainwash those simple-minded people into your way of thinking.

By the way, you can pray all you want, but if what you ask is not justified, all your prayers will come to nothing. So in the meantime, since your people are suffering, go do something more constructive to alleviate their pain.

Unafraid: Yes, on the contrary, can this be a punishment and warning from God not to implement hudud? Maybe, the worst is yet to come if PAS goes ahead with hudud.

Myrights: What a stupid reasoning by the PAS leader.

Why is it that states which are not pushing for hudud not affected by floods? These idiots only know how to blame everything on God's wrath because they have zero knowledge of science.

Versey: Can anyone imagine what would Malaysia turn out to be if it were governed by people of the same mentality as Nik Abduh?

My sympathy goes to the flood victims, particularly to those who have to encounter such distressing situations every rainy season.

Hank Marvin: Nik Abduh is talking nonsense. He is making fun of religion. After all, the Quran says God would not change our condition until and unless we work hard for it.

Nik Abduh is just seeking support for the silly move made by the state government led by the Abdul Hadi Awang faction.

Hearty Malaysian: Indeed, God will help if you help yourselves first. It means taking action to relieve the pain of people who face the floods now, not blindly pushing for hudud law.

May you see more signs that God is angry with you perhaps - for instance, flooding the state assembly hall on Dec 29 (when the hudud bill is to be discussed)?

P Dev Anand Pillai: It is pretty stupid to blame DAP for being in the same coalition with PAS - it is all about numbers, seats and politics.

It is about a quest to govern and implement policies which one has preached about; therefore it is a marriage of convenience. But not all marriages last.

We can't have groups of politicians who believe that prayer is the best way to govern. It has to be the act of governance which only comes when these morons get to the ground and solve woes.

We can't stop the cycle of nature but we can co-exist by not destroying what it has created which in itself gives us a natural shelter.

Ally Meme: I think the reverse is truer - the floods are worse this year due to PAS's attempt to think that they are so presumptious to think they know what God wants.

Multi Racial: PAS is a basically a political party that is still living in the past. It is obvious there are many leaders and members who want to change but unfortunately the power reside with those ulama who have forgotten who voted them as MPs and state assemblypersons.

We voted them because we thought they have changed. It is obvious they have not. Umno must be feeling wonderful about how silly PAS leaders are.

Anonymous_3e06: This is the most stupid way of interpreting Allah's wrath. And Nik Abduh is a religious teacher.

The best thing you can do is to go out there and be with the displaced people and show you care during this time of need.

Rolling Thunder: Nik Abduh, son of former Kelantan MB Nik Aziz, don't you think you are a joke?

Prayers alone don’t help anyone or anything. See how badly Kelantan has fared with prayers alone all these years. Now, roll up your sleeves, get off your butt, go out to help the evacuees.

Chris Wong: Some disasters are man-made and the result of our own negligence. Nik Abduh is being plain silly and attempting to justify his political actions as being a mandate from heaven.

Goodness, he is expecting the rest of us to believe in nonsense, and accepting it is even sillier.

Hplooi: This is a common tactic. If they cannot win argument in the best tradition of Aristotelian logic, they will resort to the Great Originator as an excuse.

The trouble is they claim exclusive rights of interpretation from the Great Originator.

Sleepy: I believe there are a time for prayer and a time for action, and never were they ever mutually exclusive. -Mkini
