INCLUDING THE DIAMOND & GOLD BRACELETS? Gifts from Najib's daughter’s wedding to go to charity

VIPs at the wedding of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s daughter are encouraged to pledge donations to charitable organisations instead of bringing gifts for the newlyweds.
The daughter Nooryana Najwa Najib, 26, and her groom Daniyar Kessikbayev, 27, is asking guests who wish to do so to write a cheque for one of the charities named in a list.
The call is made through an elaborately decorated invitation card to the wedding ceremony to be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on March 28.
The five charities and their bank account numbers are placed in a gold and white-coloured box containing a scroll with the guest’s names written on it.
The five include the Orang Asli Foundation (Yayasan Orang Asli), where Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor is the patron.
Based on photos of the invitation cards sighted by Malaysiakini, the four other organisations are:
Maahad Tahfiz al-Quran Qasimul Ulum (Mataqu), which is based in Batu Caves, Selangor;
Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (Perkayatim), where Rosmah previously served as a patron;
Rumah Jagaan dan Rawatan Orang Tua Al-Ikhlas in Puchong, which Daniyar had visited last week; and
The Miri branch of the Yayasan Amal Malaysia, which is an NGO headquartered in Batu Caves, Selangor, and is said to be close to some PAS leaders.
Another wedding ceremony for the couple will be held on the afternoon of March 29 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), a day after the one for VIPs.
There are also ceremonies supposedly to be held at Najib’s constituency in Pekan and the groom’s home country in Kazakhstan, but details could not be confirmed.
It was earlier reported that actor Adi Putra bumped into Najib’s future son-in-law at the old folks’ home in Puchong on Feb 26. - M'kini
