A posting on photo-sharing network Instagram has set tongues wagging as to whether the wife of Pahang’s crown prince had Rosmah Mansor in mind.

Tunku Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah posted an image of her lunch, saying she could not afford a better meal after forking out a huge sum for her hairdresser.

"There goes my diet… Oleh kerana nak bayar hairdresser mahal, saya hanya mampu beli nasi bungkus! (Because of paying my expensive hairdresser, I can only afford nasi bungkus," reads the caption.

However, the posting was later changed to only state, "There goes my diet".

The initial posting, which had 1,000 likes, drew a raft of comments from her followers, who among others, one said: "Siapa makan cili dia rasa pedas."

The old Malay adage means those who are in the wrong will know.

Tunku Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah is the wife of Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Abdullah.

Last month, Rosmah courted flak during a talk on the goods and services tax when she expressed concern about hairdressers charging up to RM1,200 for home service.

However, Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan, who was also present at the event, later said Rosmah only raised the issue, but did not admit to paying the sum.

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin on the other hand described it as an "off the cuff remark".

Since her husband, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak took over the reins in 2009, Rosmah has often landed in the limelight for the wrong reasons, notably for her alleged lavish lifestyle. - M'kini
