Hadi hit out at critics in the Islamist party's coalition partners DAP and PKR and blamed them for interfering in the elections and for trying to influence the party’s policies.
“There are people jealous of us, like a wife who does not let her husband go to the market because she is afraid that he would be charmed by the saleswomen.
“Just like some people do not want us to go and see Umno. It is haram (forbidden). But that is not our approach,” said Hadi, in his winding up speech at the close of the assembly in Kuala Selangor today.
Hadi's decisions have strained relations between PAS’s PR allies and among criticisms levelled at him are that he continues to be open to ties with the party's’ nemesis Umno.
