A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale occurred this evening.
KUALA LUMPUR: A weak earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale, occurred at 6.49pm today in Ranau, Sabah, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
A statement issued by the department said, the epicentre of the earthquake was located at 6.1 degrees north and 116.5 degrees east, about 25km northwest of Ranau.
Meanwhile another mild earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale, occurred at 10.57pm today in Tuaran, Sabah.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was located at 6.1 degrees north and 116.4 degrees east, about 25km southeast of Tuaran.
