WHY MIX LEGEND WITH MINISTERIAL DUTY? Sabah minister gets into 'monkey' & 'dildo' fight with nudist tourist

WHY MIX LEGEND WITH MINISTERIAL DUTY? Sabah minister gets into 'monkey' & 'dildo' fight with nudist tourist
KOTA KINABALU - Branded an “idiot” and a “dildo” on Twitter, Sabah’s tourism minister went on the microblogging site today against his critic, believed to be among several tourists who had stripped nude while on Mount Kinabalu recently.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun chided Twitter user Emil Kaminski over the brouhaha that Friday’s 5.9-magnitude quake that shook Sabah’s west coast was caused by the nude acts on the mountain summit last May 30.
“Just got this very complimentary posting from the nudist. I say, “it takes a monkey to call another person a monkey”, Masidi, whose official account is @MasidiM, said in a reply to Kaminski’s handle, @monkeetimevideo.
Kaminski had on Saturday tweeted “Masidi Manjun, you are an idiot, not a minister of tourism,” along with a photo of a naked man’s derriere with the background of several mountain tops.
An earlier tweet also referred to the minister as a “dildo” for blaming the earthquake on nudity.
When contacted, Masidi said that Kaminski appeared to be one of the 10 nudists on Mount Kinabalu from his Facebook.
“He is (one of the nudists) from his FB postings,” the minister told Malay Mail Online.
Asked if he planned to file a police complaint against his Twitter critic, Masidi said he is too civilised to “stoop to his level” and argue with him.
Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan had blamed Friday’s quake that has resulted in the death of 18 on the “disrespectful and uncivilised” act of 10 Europeans going naked on the mountain top whom he claimed had angered the spirits of Mount Kinabalu.
Masidi said that police were still looking for the tourists, some of whom were believed to be in Sabah.
“When we find them, we will know what to do with them,” he said.
Police are investigating the case for indecency and was last reported to have identified five out of the 10, but did not include Kaminski.
A report by Canada’s Toronto Star yesterday claimed that two Canadian sisters, Lindsey, 23  and Danielle Petersen, 22, of Saskatchewan, were barred from leaving the country.
Sabah policemen have yet to confirm the incident.
A Facebook check on the name Emil Kaminski shows a posting suggesting that the user, a Canadian living in Hong Kong, is in Tawau while he waits till “the whole ‘naked-on-a-mountain’ thing dies down.”
“Anywho, the place is a shithole, but I am stuck here for a few more days until the whole ‘naked-on-a-mountain’ thing dies down. Luckily the dumbasses here have no internet and no idea!,” he posted earlier this morning with a photo of a shoplot.
He also posted a widely-circulated photo of the nude incident atop Mount Kinabalu as his cover photo with the caption “Mount Kinabalu. Time of my life”.
Hundreds of  angry Sabahans had commented on the post, lashing out with vulgarities and some even threatening violence.
User Danny K.C. Heng posted a screenshot of flight details with the name Emil Kaminski detailing a flight from Tawau to Kuala Lumpur and later to Taipei on Wednesday, June 10.
He is also linked to “Monkeetime” a Facebook page dedicated to videos of his “comedy travels” starring him and his friends although some “don’t stay friends after the video goes online and they see the finished product.”
The page has a post calling Malaysian politicians “stupid” for linking the nudity incident to the earthquake, while suggesting this was not his first time getting naked on a mountain.
“Oh, Malaysia, why are your politicians so stupid? Some deranged prick has linked earthquakes and mountaintop nudity.
“Well, apparently I am responsible for the 2015 Nepal quake, and whatever incoming quakes in Canada (as well as Thailand, India, China, Taiwan, Hongkong, and a variety of other countries...)” - Malay Mail
