21 people detained after Wangsa Walk brawl

The incident was sparked by an individual who objected to his sister having a relationship with a certain man.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained 10 more men to assist investigations into a fight at the Wangsa Walk shopping mall here yesterday.
Wangsa Maju police chief Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said this brought to 21 the number of people detained over the incident.
Ten of them were women.
“All the 21 suspects, aged from 15 to 29, have been remanded until Friday to assist investigations,” he told Bernama today.
He added that police were identifying more suspects in regard to the incident.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Roy said out of the five men who were injured in the incident, only one was still warded at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Yesterday, police detained 11 individuals in connection with the incident which is believed to have been sparked by a man who objected to his sister having a relationship with a certain man.
Out of the five injured, two were hurt badly after being beaten with sticks, iron rods, helmets and motorcycle drive chains.
