Unlike Masing, Nancy Shukri DEFENDS Lester as credible

KUCHING - Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Nancy Shukri wants the people responsible for spinning ‘tales’ on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) to be brought to justice.

Describing it as an unhealthy move to feed the people with negative stories, she noted the documents in question, as admitted by one of the persons allegedly involved, were “doctored”.

She said the “player” in the “drama”, by the name of Lester Melanyi, was able to confirm his role in an attempt to bring down Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“The people responsible for telling ‘tales’ of the drama should be brought to justice and I believe the government is working towards bringing the relevant parties to justice,” she told reporters here, today.

On the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission’s (MCMC) move to block The Sarawak Report website, Nancy said the MCMC was doing the right thing under the provision of the MCMC law.

“Knowing fully well that The Sarawak Report has been using documents which have been tampered with, it’s time for the government to control the tampered information from being spread throughout the globe.” - Therakyatpost
