Embattled Prime Minister Najib Razak continues to be a magnet for scandalous news about himself, his family and prized sovereign fund 1MDB.
Singapore-based Channel NewsAsia is the latest broadcaster to feature the money trail and mountain of corruption allegations that currently dog Najib, spurring demands for him to resign.
So deep and widespread are the alleged financial troubles wrought by pillage and leakage at 1MDB, Najib's failing political career is a foregone conclusion to many. Like his arch rival Mahathir Mohamad, few really think he can survive the year.
They have no pity for Najib, saying he has only himself to blame for refusing to step down gracefully.
But what about Malaysia. At a crossroad politically and economically, will the country be able to bounce back or will there be false calm before the next storms sweeps out the corruption-riddled Umno-BN coalition that has ruled since 1957.
In its show titled Malaysia at the Crossroads, CNA reports deepening political crisis, rising religious conservatism and a cooling economy have forced the country into un-chartered political waters.
Can it ride out the storm?
