Kevin’s family want cause of death confirmed first before claiming body, says cop

The family of murdered deputy public prosecutor Anthony Kevin Morais want confirmation from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Forensics Department on the cause of death before claiming the body, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said today.

In clarifying the statement he issued yesterday, Noor Rashid said the DNA tests had been done and the results showed that there was a biological connection between Morais and his family members.

“The family’s refusal to claim the body was because they wanted to get confirmation from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Forensics Medical Department on the cause of death,” he said in a statement.
