YOURSAY l ‘Instead of showing leadership by containing the fire, Armand Azha added fuel to it.’
CQ Muar: How lacking in logic Umno Youth exco Armand Azha Abu Hanifah turned out to be. Instead of displaying leadership qualities by containing the fire, he added fuel to it.
Is Umno that devoid of leaders, having such 'fine' examples the likes of this man, who has absolutely nothing in his thick cranium except his fat, over-fed protoplasm?
Why didn't he get to the root cause of the problem and resolved it amicably instead of advising those hooligans to boycott the traders at the Kota Raya complex?
Ren Ai: Consumer education is key to avoid being cheated. The ministry or Low Yat itself should consider setting-up an in-house advisory for new young, non-IT savvy customers to ensure that their shopping is carried out with fair knowledge.
Avoid the corridor outlets that are generally temporary in nature, they are high risk.
Odin Tajué: Armand Azha, the best thing for all concerned is for the Malays to boycott all business establishments — including shopping complexes — transport and services owned or run by non-Malays.
That way, Malays will be happy. The non-Malays will be even happier. I am sure they can do very well even without the business from the Malays.
Now go build your own shopping complexes, open you own tyre shops, car and motorcycle repair shops, clinics, etc, and offer the various services needed by the citizenry and which, of course, only offered to Malays.
The non-Malays will, for a start, stop buying Proton cars, eat and drink at any restaurants and stalls run by Malays, and so on.
Anonymous_3f49: One can see the deliberately instigated brawl, first at Low Yat Plaza and now Kota Raya, developing into another racially charged 'scandal'; to divert attention from the national issues?
Kadir Sulong: We should not demonise Ali Tinju as he has the guts to stop these traders from cheating the common public, and that includes Chinese and Indians.
I think he is doing a good job to create awareness where massive cheating is going on. I was once cheated when I was sold an imitation Samsung which did not work at all. And I could not get a refund.
The trader was acting like gangster. All I thought I was getting a good deal because I am a senior citizen and know nothing of mobile phones. It was about five years ago. Well done, Ali Tinju.
GE14NOW!: One by one, they emerge from Umno to confirm that it is a racist party, helmed by racist leaders.
Everything is turned into a racial issue, even when race has nothing to do with it. If this is the mentality of those who are in leadership position, then there is little wonder that the country is getting to the place where even the dogs are ashamed of it.
For me, I guess that I shall not want to buy products that have anything to do with Umno.
SteveOh: "Following the Low Yat Plaza incident, Rural and Regional Development Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob proposed the setting up of the fully bumiputera-operated Mara Digital electronics goods mall."
Congratulations, minister. Why not go all the way and establish a separate state for bumiputeras? Or bar Malays from doing business with non-bumiputeras? Goodbye 1Malaysia. Hello apartheid.
Unafraid: Clearly the whole purpose of creating the ruckus at Kota Raya is to scare consumers away from that place so that they go to the Mara Digital Mall instead.
It was probably planned and orchestrated so that potential customers are frightened to step into these older places. What a devilish scheme.
If we allow such bigotry to continue, the country will be increasingly even more racially polarised. Is this what the government wants?
Retnam: Armand Azha, good idea. But perhaps you should make it easier for the Malay customers.
Get Ismail Sabri to take up trading lots in Kota Raya itself with Mara paying the rentals. Then lease out those lots to bumiputera vendors, perhaps free of rental for a year, two years or even forever.
Let the bumiputera vendors enjoy the same clientele as the rest of the traders in Kota Raya. This is a better idea than to ask the bumiputera clients go to Mara Digital Mall, which is quite far away.
888: There is no need to boycott anyone. Customers know best. Where and which shop gives the best price or value or service, customers will go. This is just common sense.
If the next shop gives better value than your mother's shop, you will still quietly buy from the next shop.
Anonymous_1388029052: Armand should also demand that his bosses in Umno do not cheat but then, that would be next to impossible. -Mkini
