PART 2 : What Should Be Malaysia's Foreign Policy Towards Saudi/Yemen War?

The Saudi / Yemen conflict is a religious war. It is a war between two sects the Wahhabis and the Shias. 

Since we are part of the OIC (Oh I See, Organisation of Islamic Chickens etc) perhaps Malaysia should take some lessons from the Quran about what to do when two groups of 'Muslims' are quarreling or fighting. 

Here is the Quran Surah 49:9,

"And if two parties of the mukmins quarrel, make peace between them; but if one of them acts wrongfully towards the other, fight that which acts wrongfully until it returns to Allah’s command; then if it returns, make peace between them with justice and act equitably; surely Allah loves those who act equitably." Surah 49:9

Clearly this war began when Saudi Arabia just attacked Yemen without any provocation.  Clealr Saudi Arabia is the aggressor.

Still, not forgetting that, the Quran says that Step 1 is make peace between the conflicting parties. Try to be a mediator. Do not become a batu api and start pouring oil on the flames to make things even worse.

Instead Malaysia has chosen to take sides with Saudi Arabia against Yemen. From Day 1.

Did we investigate the matter and act with justice?

Or did we forget all about justice just because the Saudis are Wahhabis and the Yemenis are Shias? One of our Ministers announced to the whole world that the shias are kafir !!  Way to go.

In Step 2, the Quran says if one of them acts wrongfully, then fight the party that is in the wrong until they return 'to Allah's command' which is justice and being equitable. 

Yemen does not even have an airforce. Neither do they seem to have a standing army. 

Yemen did not bomb Saudi Arabia. It was Saudi Arabia that bombed Yemen. 

So if Malaysia wants to take sides which side should we take?

Shall we  

• support the country that bombed another country without any provocation or 
• shall we take sides with a country that is the victim of a non stop bombing attack?

Of course all this depends on how much we wish to uphold the Quran. 

 

Kalau tak mahu uphold Quran, hangpa punya pasal lah. You will end up in continuous disaster. Di laknat Allah, quite continuously.

 

There is one more option. Kalau susah sangat nak faham siapa betul atau siapa salah (sebab kurang daya fikiran, bodoh, tak cukup sekolah dsbnya) then dont take any sides. Just mind your own business.

Jangan masuk campur orang lain punya kerja syaitan.
