Calls for Rafizi’s head to roll as secretary-general at PKR meet?

Speculation is rife there might be demands for Rafizi Ramli to be replaced as PKR secretary-general when the party’s political bureau meets tonight.
This comes in the wake of two explosive issues, the exposure of a scathing letter from jailed former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim and a leaked Whatsapp conversation.
In the leaked conversation, Rafizi said he received complaints about money and women being sought in negotiations with the Selangor state government.
Yesterday, the Pandan lawmaker revealed that he would email the evidence to PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Previously, Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali dismissed the allegations, calling it a smear campaign.
Meanwhile, Rafizi told Malaysiakini that he is in the dark as to whether the political bureau would discuss his position.
"But anyone is free to bring up any issue," he added.
He added that the position of secretary-general is the prerogative of the party president.
Among those speculated to replace Rafizi as secretary-general is Tumpat MP Kamaruddin Jaafar (photo). However, he too claimed to be clueless.
"I am not aware of the rumour, I just came back from a conference in Indonesia," Kamaruddin said when met at the Parliament lobby.

Asked if he would accept the post if offered, he replied: No, I don't think the matter arises at the moment."
PKR vice-president Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin said the decision to replace the secretary-general is the prerogative of the president.
"The secretary-general is appointed by the president.
“The leadership can give their views (regarding Rafizi's position), but of course the final decision is that of the president," Shamsul Iskandar explained.
