An explosive allegation has surfaced about the Selangor state government, where it is claimed that "money and women are requested" during negotiations.
This is mentioned in an alleged leaked Whatsapp conversation, where PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli purportedly said he had received complaints about such demands.
"I refuse to comment or deny the matter (if the leaked conversation is authentic)," the Pandan lawmaker told Malaysiakini when quizzed on the matter.
However, Rafizi acknowledged the existence of certain bad elements within PKR, which have the potential to destroy the party but declined to elaborate.
Malaysiakini has also contacted Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali's aides for comment and is awaiting their response.
The leaked Whatsapp conversation was exposed by news portal Malaysian Mirror.
"Yesterday, I received a report and complaint from a 'bonafide' person that apart from money, now there are also requests for women when dealing with the state government. There is no point for me to elaborate, you know what I mean.
"They came to me and complained, and I am collecting information," Rafizi was quoted as saying in the 'Solidariti for Anwar' Whatsapp group.
He also stated in the conversation that he was more concerned about sins and good deeds as opposed to political strategies.
"I don't really care about political strategies and other (issues).
"I have never once been to the SUK (state secretariat building) since Azmin (Ali) became MB to ask (for something) or to discuss (matters)," he said.
Malaysiakini cannot independently verify the claims made in the alleged leaked conversation.

The Malaysian Mirror also published a transcript of the alleged Whatsapp conversation, where Rafizi also mentioned one "Kak Zu", which is believed to be Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin.
Malaysiakini has contacted Zuraida for comment as well.
The latest issue comes in the wake of a scathing letter from Anwar Ibrahim, where he cautioned PKR leaders about the dangers of working with Dr Mahathir Mohamad on the Citizens' Declaration.
This sparked off speculations concerning a rift in PKR.
Former PKR leader Zaid Ibrahim also attributed the letter to the alleged tussle between Anwar's wife, PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her deputy Azmin.- Mkini
