Najib off to the United Kingdom, from May 15 to 16

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak will be making a working visit to the United Kingdom from May 15 to 18.

The Foreign Ministry in a statement today said the Prime Minister would inaugurate the Malaysia-UK Investor Showcase Agenda organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) on May 16 at Marlborough House, London.

"The showcase is aimed at promoting greater synergy in two-way investment between the two countries as well as identifying opportunities for Malaysia and UK businesses to collaborate in global and commonwealth partnerships," it said.

Najib has also been invited by the Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council (GSIAC) to deliver a keynote address at the Sixth GSIAC Annual Meeting in London on 17 May, the statement said.

The main theme of the meeting is Enhancing Malaysia's Competitiveness & Sustainable Development Through A Science-Driven Agenda based on two key segments, namely "Fostering Malaysia's Future: New Industry, New Jobs"; and "Challenges of Sustainable Development: Job Creation And Wealth Generation".
