Raja Sara Petra says Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud of the DAP cannot accuse someone of cheating without offering details.
PETALING JAYA: Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud of the DAP must explain in what way Umno cheated the Malays as her allegation is a serious one.
In making the call, Raja Sara Petra, daughter of blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin wrote on Facebook that one cannot accuse another of cheating without offering details and evidence to back the allegation.
“This would be like saying DAP is anti-Malay and then leaving the rest unsaid and to your imagination.”
Sara had earlier asked if Dyana, who had contested in the 2014 Teluk Intan by-election, based her claim on well-researched statistics or if it was merely a spin.
“Anyone can make such a claim when he or she does not need to prove it.”
Dyana had earlier alleged that Umno had cheated Malays when declaring that they wanted to be free of a political party that claimed to represent the community.
She also claimed that Umno consistently insulted Malays by using fear for political gain by stating that the Malays would be destroyed if Umno lost power.
Dyana said this after Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii listed down “evidence” of DAP’s disrespect for Malays after 13 former Umno members issued a statement on why they chose to join the DAP.
This included DAP MPs attending Oktoberfest (beer drinking) although it was not part of Malaysian culture; opposing amendments to Act 355, that provides for more powers to shariah courts, which could pave the way for hudud; and the slaughtering of five pigs in Penang to celebrate DAP’s victory with Pakatan Rakyat after the 13th General Election.
