MUHYIDDIN BOMBSHELL: ‘MALAYS ARE ANGRY WITH NAJIB OVER CHINA SALES, HE DISTORTED THE FACTS, HE THOUGHT THEY WERE STUPID’

KUALA LUMPUR – Former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Malays in this country would not like to see the move by prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak courting Chinese investors, and that they believed the Chinese companies would take away the rice bowls of Malaysians.
Muhyiddin, who is also the president of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, said during an exclusive interview with Sin Chew Daily and other local Chinese newspapers that the Malays in this country were more concerned about their own living conditions.
However, he said they were worried foreign businesses would eventually wipe out the opportunities of local companies and businesses.
He pointed out that Najib thought he would win the favor of Chinese Malaysians by doing business with China, and hoped this would help MCA in the coming elections.
He emphasized that Najib could do business with China directly without MCA.
Not what Malaysians want to see
Muhyiddin added that MCA had historically not had any close relationship with the Chinese government, and now Najib was opening the door to welcome foreign forces to influence Malaysian politics.
“I believe Chinese Malaysians will not open their arms widely to welcome Chinese businesses to come into this country in a big way.”
As a matter of fact, Muhyiddin said Chinese Malaysians are not exactly the same as the Chinese in China, just as the Malays here are not the same as Indonesians, as there are differences in the the way they talk as well as lifestyle.
“I also don’t want to see Indonesians grab up properties and land in Malaysia, because all this should belong to us.
“I’m sure Chinese Malaysians won’t feel comfortable seeing mainland Chinese come here with tons of cash to buy up Bandar Malaysia and make us work for them.”
“I don’t think this is what Chinese Malaysians want to see.”
Paying off 1MDB debts
,
Muhyiddin said although Najib claimed that he had clinched RM144 billion deals during his visit to China late last year, these deals were not real investments but loans to the Malaysian government from China to pay off 1MDB debts.
“The money must be returned to the Chinese government and in the end, it is the rakyat who have to bear the cost. This will give the country a bigger burden.
“Najib was distorting the facts. He thought the people were ignorant.”
